COOL MORNINGS AND PLEASANT AFTERNOONS?
Our great stretch of weather will continue for the next couple of days.? Then we will see windy weather and stormy weather for parts of the upcoming weekend.
NEXT 24 HOURS?
Great weather continues with lows tonight in the 40s and highs tomorrow in the upper 70s.? Lots of sunshine with light winds tomorrow.
OVERNIGHT LOWS?
WEATHER TIMELINE FOR TOMORROW (WEDNESDAY)
WHEN STORM CHANCES ARRIVE?
A powerful storm system is taking shape off the West Coast.? This will sweep across the Rockies and move into the Central Plains this weekend.? Currently that storm system can be seen off the coast with the surface low moving over Vancouver.
WINDY WEATHER FOR NORTH TEXAS?
As this system moves into the Plains, low pressure will develop in Colorado.? This low will deepen and force the winds up from the south in Texas.? It will get very windy on Friday and Saturday with wind advisories likely.? These strong south winds will likely gusts to 40 or 45 mph on Friday and Saturday.? The winds will also bring up Gulf Moisture increasing our humidity by week?s end.
STORMS LIKELY ON SUNDAY?
A cold front will arrive during the day on Sunday.? Storms look likely with this front and some of these will likely be severe.? The full extent of the severe weather can not be determined just yet.? One model wants to develop a very strong squall line thru North Texas and then end the rain behind the squall line.? Another model brings more widespread thunderstorms that would last longer and likely not be as intense.? The timing for both solutions looks to be in the afternoon and evening on Sunday.
COLD FOR MONDAY?
Behind this front cold air will be arriving.? Temperatures will stay in the 50s all day Monday and morning lows will be in the 30s Tuesday morning next week.
Here is what temps will look like Monday afternoon.
